Quilt Dots!

Are you familiar with the Quilt Dot Company?  They make these awesome magnets that look like quilt blocks or pictures of parts of a quilt.  You can use these magnets in so many different ways such as; a magnet (of course), as a pin, bookmark, key chain, bag chains, needle nannies and for jewelry!  They are made right here in the USA by a family owned business who does it all by hand!  We loved their products and thought you would too!

We thought “How cool would it be to have the Quilt Dots made up our our designs?!!” So that is what we did!  We have several in the works right now and just have a small handful of prototypes for you to see.

We thought we would start out with a Quilt Dots of the Month program.  This is only going to be 4 month commitment.  If the program goes well, we will continue doing it.  During those 4 months you will receive 6 Quilt Dots per month plus a tin to store them in for $10/month.  That is like getting one Quilt Dot FREE!! 2 of the Quilt Dots will be EXCLUSIVE to the Program, meaning they will never be sold individually, you will only be able to get them if you are in the Program.  And 4 of the Quilt Dots will be ones that will be available to the public at a later date.  You will receive a total of 24 Quilt Dots by the end of your 4 month commitment.

Once you have chosen to do the Quilt Dot program, go to the section Jewlery and then to the subcategory Quilt Dots, you will find all of the different items that you can purchase to go along with the Quilt Dot magnets. You will have the choice of the Scissor fobs, bracelets in 3 colors and the necklaces in 2 colors, or any combination you so choose.  That will be sent with your first month in the program.

The Quilt Dots that you seen the magnetic sewing board is just a sampling of some of the ones we have in progress, you will not be receiving all of them.  As soon as we receive the whole sampling of them we will show them to you.  But trust us, they are all going to be amazing, and you will not want to miss the EXCLUSIVE ones that you will be receiving each month.  Make sure you sign up TODAY so that you don’t miss out!  Here are a few more of them up close.

Back by popular demand we will be starting our next Wool Bundle of the Month program in March.  For those of you who do not know about our Wool Bundle Program or need a bit of a refresher on what it all entails….here it is……..there are a variety of 8 colors or textures in each bundle that you will be receiving and each of the pieces will measure approximately 7×8.  This is a great way for you to start building up your stash and to receive a whole bunch of textures and colors to work with.  These bundles retail for $20 regularly, BUT if you sign up for our Program you will receive each bundle for $15!!!  The Wool Bundle of the Month Program is a 12 month Commitment.

For those of you who are doing our Wool Bundle Program right now, this group will be completely different wools that what you will be receiving each month…..so if you would like to recieve 2 different bundles each month you can sign up for this one as well.  (Please note if you are doing the first program with us and would like to do the second bundle: there might be some duplicates along the way, as this is unavoidable.)

Japanese Fabric Block of the Month coming soon!

Are you looking to do a simple and fun block of the month?  Look no further than this stunning quilt called Holly’s Garden by Shopgirl Quilts!  Gerri is doing an absolutely amazing job of picking out all of the fabrics needed for this quilt.  You will receive a total of 60 DIFFERENT Fabrics!!!!  Done all out of Japanese Fabrics both cotton and woven, this quilt will finish approximately 65 1/2″ x 84″.  Each month for your 6 month commitment, you will receive 10 Fat Eighths to work with to create your blocks for $23 per month.  You will be receiving the fabric for the blocks, plus the border fabric and the binding. Pattern is sold separately because we know some of you already have the pattern.

Every month you will not be receiving a picture of the blocks, instead you will be able to create the color combinations of your choosing!  Save some fabrics from previous months to throw into another months combination.  The color combinations are endless in this project!

This quilt is going the absolutely beautiful when you are finished with it!  I can’t wait for Gerri to get it put all together.

Are you looking for a great way to keep track of all of your Valdani Threads?  We have the book for you!  We have put together a small booklet that has the list and the color name of every Valdani Thread that Valdani makes!  The Book is called My Soul is Feed with My Wool Needle and Thread and can be purchased for $10.  This is the perfect way to help you get organized!

We also have few NEW threads that we are debuting with this Coupon Event, in the #12 weight we have 117, 118, 143, 188 and 0520.  I love the 143, it is a nice grey color to go along with our cement and silo wool colors.  And also the 117 is great with dirty snowman wool.  And then we also have a few more #8 weights as well, 0511 and H209. H209 will be great for doing stem stitching!

Calendar of Events, Shows and Classes

Are you wondering if we will be in your area this year?  What Shop Hops we are participating in? What Classes Lisa might be teaching and where?  What Clubs we offer? We have loaded in our Calendar of Events for 2016!

Lisa has put together her list of Classes that she is going to be teaching here at Primitive Gatherings in Wisconsin for the year.  Take a peak, maybe you can make a day of it with your friends or travel up for a couple of days!  Let us know if you need a place to stay!  Lisa will be teaching Working with Wool, Punch Needle, a 2-Day Everyday Crazy Table Mat class, and NEW this year she will be doing a SIT and SEW at her studio! Hope to see you there!  If you have ever taken a class with Lisa, you know how much fun she is in class.  Even if you need a refresher course or just want to learn from the best, taking a Working With Wool class is a great idea.

A NEW feature on our Calendar of Events, is that if you are taking a Class with us we have a PDF file of the list of supplies that you will be needing for the Class!  We will also have a link to all the Shows that we will be doing so that you will have an exact location and the times that the Shows will be open!

Our Clubs are all loaded into the Calendar as well.  So if you are in one of our Clubs take a peak and make sure that nothing has changed.  Usually the only time it will be changing is when November and December rolls around for some of our Clubs, depending on the time of the month they are held.

New Primitive Gatherings Mugs for 2016

These are our New Mugs for 2016, I love the colors that we picked out for them.  If you have one of these mugs you know that they are absolutely amazing!  I have hot chocolate in them just about every morning in the winter months, while answering your emails.  They are made locally here in Menasha by Sunset Hill Stoneware and are perfect for every day use.  They are dishwasher safe and food safe.  We have heard that if you take 2 eggs, crack them, put in your milk, green peppers, ham, onions and what every else you like to put in your scrambled eggs, pop them into the microwave for a couple minutes, you get perfect scrabble eggs!!!  Just thinking it might be something you might want to try one morning.  I am not an egg person, so if they made pancakes or french toast it would be perfect!!

Teal

Root Beer is the name of the glaze. It is a reddy brown color with hints of blue/purple coming thru

The Light Blue color has a tint of a light brown coming thru the glaze, the brown is more of a reddy brown and has a purply/blue coming thru, and then we have the flat teal.  I can’t wait to add them to my collection of Primitive Gatherings Mugs!  Personally my favorite its the brown one, love the colors that show thru!  Each of the mugs are $18.00 a piece, they do have an additional $5.00 charge on them for shipping due to the packaging that is required in order to get the mugs to you safe.

Happy 2016!  Hope you have had a wonderful beginning to your New Year!  I must say mine has been busy, full of surprises and some sewing! I am pretty sure my Juki forgot what I looked like for the past 3 months!

ARE YOU READY TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE FIRST COUPON???? You probably already know what it is from the pictures I have shown…..

The first Coupon Event of 2016 will be January 14-17, for 25% off wool yardage.  This means that it is time for you to stock up on all the wool that you are going to be needing to do all of those  patterns that you purchase during our Inventory Reduction Sale, or received as gifts.  This applies to all hand dyed or mill dyed wools that are an 1/8 yard or more.  There are a few exclusions and they are: kits,bundles, charms, scraps, and specialty ordered textures. You can order any quantity of wool from 1/8 of a yard to 10 yards if you would like to, there is no limit to the amount that you can purchase to help build your stash!

We are hoping that our Website will work the way that we want it to and will apply the discount to all items that are eligible when you are checking out.  This is the first time that we have programed our Website to do this and are hoping that it all works the way that we think it will and want it too.  You know computers, they do sometimes have a mind of their own, and don’t work the way we think they should.  DO NOT panic if it does not take off the discount, we will make sure that we apply all the correct discounts when we ship your order, if the computer decides to have a mind of its own.
