Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop

Little Gatherings is making it return!!!!

Do you remember Lisa’s very first line that she came out with 5 years ago called Little Gatherings??? Well 5 years later Lisa and MODA are coming out with Little Gatherings II, due in at a Quilt Shop near you in October!  Back is the great selection of Blacks, rich Chocolate Browns, Tans and Creams!

We will be offering 2 new designs and quilt kits from Primitive Gatherings, along with bringing back our 45 and Life to Go Quilt (both sizes) that we released in 2011.  We also have 2 Designs using our Little Gatherings II Line from 2 other designers, Doug Leko of Antler Quilts and also a design from It’s Sew Emma.

Our 2 New designs are very unique and different from each other. Old Dirt Road has a complex look and feel about it,a beautiful combination of rich Blacks and Browns.  However when creating this quilt, it is a simple combination of triangles and square in a squares, which makes this block easier to piece. Old Dirt Road will measure 76″ x 76″ when finished. (patterns are available now)

Treasure box has the simplicity that Old Dirt Road does not.  Treasure Box to me is simple, elegant, and feels like it will transport me back in time.  I just love the way this pattern feels, if that makes sense. Treasure Box will measure 63″ x 73″ when finished. (patterns are available now) It is showing a bit whiter than what it really is….it is more of a cream color.

We have had many request over the past few years to re-kit up 45 and Life to Go, we will be kiting both the 110″ x 110″ and the 55″ x 55″ size.  You kit will look very much like the original quilt only with the NEW prints from Little Gatherings II. Patterns are available now.

Are you a Gadget person??? Do you love making quilts that use new rulers?? If so, the It’s Sew Emma pattern is just for you! Dancing Stars requires a Fat Quarter Tower (which is on SALE with all our other Pre-Cuts until they arrive at the Warehouse) AND a 30 Degree Sunburst Tool, which will satisfy your Gadget obsession.  The pattern has 3 different sizes that you are able to make, with the Fat Quarter Tower you will be able to make the Lap Size, 60 1/2″ x 60 1/2″.  If you would like to make the Crib or the Queen, please let us know and we would be happy to help you with those. (patterns available in October)

Doug Leko from Antler Quilts designed Island Hop.  This Pineapple-esk like quilt using a Fat Quarter Tower and a Border Fabric.  It will measure 61″ x 77″ when finished and would make an amazing guy quilt for anyone!

IMG_2951

ARE YOU JOINING US FOR OUR SUMMER BLOCK OF THE WEEK???? You didn’t know about this great program that we have for each week in the summer???? Take a peak below at all of our great offerings this Summer!

There is going to be A LOT of information that is going to be handed out here. So settle in with a beverage and maybe something to snack on and hopefully we answer all of your questions. Please let us know if we missed something…but I don’t think we did.  All pricing below is Domestic Pricing Only, we will handle International Orders on an individual basis, for those of you that have participated in our SBOW we are handling it the same way as we have in previous years. If you have never done it before with us please Contact us by email if you have any International questions. primitivegatheringsquiltshop@yahoo.com

My Crazy Life SBOW

Our Wool Summer Block of the Week will be called: My Crazy Life. Who cannot relate to that? Each week My Crazy Life will consist of making 4 wool on flannel -7 ½” blocks. There will be an official total of 48 blocks, however we will have a few extra block designs that you will be able to choose from to make, if one of OUR Crazy Life blocks doesn’t fit into YOUR Crazy Life.

thumbnail_IMG_6434

Our finishing kit is NOT ready for you to order, and we will NOT be taking any orders for it until we reveal it and the pricing. We are hoping to have that available to start ordering in a couple of weeks. If at the time you choose not to purchase the Finishing Kit, your quilt will measure 42” x 49”. If you DO choose to order our Finishing Kit, once we have everything finalized, your quilt will measure approximately 64”x 72”. When purchasing the Finishing Kit, you will also receive the Binding. Again these are estimates as Lisa is known to change her mind!

We have put together a Supply Kit for you that has everything you should need to create My Crazy Life. Our Kit will be an Empty Project Case containing 3-packages of Steam a Seam 2 Lite, a tube of 6-#24 and 6-#22 Chennile needles, and a 7 ½” Creative Grids Ruler and a needle threader. You will need the 7 ½” ruler to square up your blocks, this is the best way to ensure accuracy.  Lisa thought is necessary after cutting one of her block down wrong.  These Supply Kits should retail for $49.25, however if you purchase a COMPLETE Supply Kit, you will receie 25% off which will bring it to $38.00. This will be shipped with your first SBOW. (yes, if you look real closely that is not a 7 1/2″ ruler, but I didn’t have one in stock…so I used what I had, you will receive the 7 1/2″)

We will also have the option for you to purchase Flannel Backing Fabric for your SBOW. If you would like to purchase Backing you can do so with a 25% discount on the 4 yards you will need, which will come to $36.00. Please put the color you would like to have on your backing in the COMMENT SECTION and we will pick out an amazing one for you. If you do not put one in the COMMENT SECTION we will still pick out an amazing one for you! Just some of the colors that you can pick!

We will be doing the Thread Kit in 3 sets. Our first set of threads will be for weeks 1-4.  We have those available for purchasing now.  It will be $140.00 for the first set of threads, this will be the bulk of the threads that you will need.  Shipping of the threads will be Week 1, Week 5, and Week 9. We will let you know when they are available to order as soon as we are able to. When you do order the Thread Kit we will match that up with your SBOW so that they ship together. Please let us know each time you order the threads which group you are in, be it the Paid in Full or Weekly, or the In State and Out of State.  Thank you

You will have 2 options for paying, Pay in Full or Paying Weekly (In-State and Out of State). If you Pay In Full, you will receive one FREE Shipment + Blocks as our Thank you.

Clara’s Stars

This is something new for us. We have never done a Hand Pieced SBOW, we know how popular it is, and we have an awesome Antique Quilt to model our Quilt after, so we thought: Why Not?

We will be using 5 yards of Primitive Muslin 1040-22 (creamy color), for our Block of the Week, if you would prefer to do yours in a bit of a lighter version (as seen in the antique quilt) we would be happy to replace it with 1040-21, which would be our White Primitive Muslin.

You will be receiving 18 blocks each week, for a total of 216 blocks. Each week a total of 50 different Reproduction fabrics will be sent to you to help you create your Blocks. You will have extra fabric that will allow you to make your quilt bigger if you so choose. With your fabrics you will be able to mix and match as you see fit. You will have enough of one fabric to put in each corner of the blocks to make the triangles uniform like the Antique Quilt OR you can make it scrap like the Blocks. Your Choice!

IMG_9323

If you choose to purchase our Finishing Kit ($60.00) your quilt will measure approximately 72”x 83” when complete and will look similar to the quilt above. Your finishing kit will consist of 7 yards of Muslin, either 1040-22 or 1040-21 depending on which background you are choose. Binding will be included in the Finishing Kit only.

There is a Supply Kit available for you as well with this project. It will include, 1,000 Diamond pieces, 250 Triangle pieces, an Empty Project case, an Acrylic Template for both the Triangle and the Diamond. The Supply Kit is $72, regularly $94.00. If you would like to purchase more of the Paper Pieces you can do so for the 25% off, however, we do recommend that you reuse some of your Paper Pieces.

IMG_2952

You will have 2 options for paying; Pay in Full or Paying Weekly (In-State and Out of State). If you Pay In Full, you will receive one FREE Shipment + Blocks as our Thank you. Your first weeks Shipment will be $13 due to the 5 yards of Muslin.

Here is your pricing break down:Paid in Full: Will Receive 1 Free Shipment for Paying in Full (Blocks + Shipping)

$10 per week for block                                OUT OF STATE; Grand Total $221

Among Friends

Welcome to Among Friends SBOW, when finished this quilt will measure approximately  72 ½” x 90 ½”. Each week you will be making 44-3” finished blocks; 36 for inside the quilt and 8 for the border, for a grand total of 528 blocks! You will be receiving each week 44-light fabrics and 44-Dark/Medium fabrics, which means that in theory you could have 1,056 different fabrics. We are going to try and make sure that they are all different, but we might not have enough lights to make that happen. We thank you for understanding ahead of time if you should happen to get a duplicate. Your first week of the SBOW will be $84+shipping as you will have 7 yards of the background fabric and one set of “blocks”, every week after that for 11 weeks it will be $14+shipping.

When ordering your SBOW, there will be many things to take into consideration. You will be choosing if you are going to pay in full at the beginning of the program or if you are going to be paying weekly. If you pay in full, you will be getting a break in the pricing and it will be like getting one week (blocks + shipping) FREE!!!! This is our THANK YOU for not having to run your credit card every week, PLUS if you pay in full you will be guaranteed to get that FREEBIE block each week as well. If you do not know about the FREEBIE block, each week you will receive a small block that will finish into another small quilt for FREE! But your credit card has to be charged each week in order to receive the block. If you are going to be paying in full, you will be charged $277.00 if you are Out of State, OR $290.85 if you are In State, at the beginning of the program, this includes the shipping.

If you are going to be paying weekly, each week for 12 weeks you will be charged $14.00 (+ tax if applicable) for the set of blocks and $4.00 (+ tax if applicable) for shipping each week. Please note that the first week shipping will be $13, as you will have 7 yards of fabric to be shipped to you. Week 12 might be more as well for shipping if you are choosing to receive the Backing Fabric. If you are going to be paying weekly, your TOTAL cost will be $295.00 if you are Out of State OR $309.75 if you are In State, once again that includes your shipping cost.

Alright, once you have decided if you are paying in full or paying weekly, you will need to choose what color you would like to have your background fabric be. Lisa is doing hers in the Dark Navy color. We are also offering it in the Medium Blue, Dark Red/Burgundy Color, Black and Walnut. We think all of these colors will look spectacular with the quilt, it is just a matter of what you have in your house and what you are looking for. You must purchase your background fabric from us.

Ok, so you have chosen the color that you would like to work with. Now on to the supplies that we are going to be recommending to help you create and finish your project. We have put together a Supply Kit that contains: a Project Case so that you can store your blocks in as they are being made, Triangle Paper that has been created especially for this project, the Itty Bitty Ruler to help in your cutting and squaring up, and finally Aurifil Thread which we recommend for sewing the blocks together, will be in the kits. If you purchase the whole kit, you will receive 25% off, which will make the Supply kit $45.50 (its like getting the ruler for FREE). If you would like to purchase the supplies separately you will be able to do so as well, but without a discount.

You will also be able to order your backing fabric right away if you would like to. That will not be charged or shipped until Week 12. We do not sequester fabrics away for backing, trust us there is no bad fabric in the Shop. If you would like to request the Backing Fabric, please place the Color you would like for us to pick for you in the COMMENT SECTION of your order and we will pick out something spectacular for you! You will need 6 yards of fabric for the backing, which we will apply a 25% discount to, and your Backing Fabric will be $54.

You do not have to limit yourself to just doing one Summer Block of the Week! You can do any combination if you would like to or do all 3! When placing your order, please order EVERYTHING that you would like to purchase. Due to all different options that we have available for each of the projects we ask that you order under those categories, and if you do more than one we will adjust your prices accordingly. Please see the links below to see the combinations that can be done and the pricing sheets for all of them.

FREEBIE!

We always do a great Freebie Block to go along with your SBOW, this year is no different. Our Freebies will revolve around pennies. We do recommend that if you do not already have our Circle Template that you invest in one. It will help in making those circles a breeze for you! The Freebie revolves all around your credit card payment.  If you pay in full you do not have to worry about your credit card being valid each week. If you are paying weekly, your credit card needs to be able to be charged each week to receive the Freebie, if it gets denied and we do not hear back from you until the following week, your Freebie will be pulled from your package. This is a reward for doing our SBOW and paying on time, 2 projects for the price of one!

FACEBOOK

How can we forget about Facebook?  It is everywhere!  We created a Facebook Group last year with our Somewhere in Time SBOW and it was a blast.  This year will be no different.  We have created one Facebook page called My Crazy Life AND one Facebook Page for Both the Pieced and the Hand Pieced called Among Clara’s Friends, for those of you who are on Facebook.  Because it is a Secret/Closed Group only available to those that are participating in the SBOW, you will need to friend request ME! Jessica Holz and let me know that you have signed up for the SBOW and which one and I will get you added into your appropriate Group.  These Groups are amazing, it is a great way to learn from each other.  We will also be doing give aways, helpful hints, sneak peaks and so much more in these groups! It is a great way to keep motivated all Summer long and to see everyones projects progress. Here are my pictures on my Facebook Page so you will know who to friends request.  If you do not have a Facebook Page, you do not have to join…but I do highly recommend you join Facebook if only to join our Group.

We hope that you will join us in our Summer Block of the Week Extravaganza!  It is going to be so much fun! We have lots in store for those of you who participate!

Have a Beautiful Day,

Jessica
