We have told you about the Wool Summer Block of the Week, and we know many of you have asked what the Pieced Summer Block of the Week is. Well are you ready for our Star Studded Event?
How the Summer Block of the Week will work this year?
Like most of our SBOWS this will be a 12-week commitment from all of you, we will start shipping the SBOW June 5. You will need to ask yourself if you would like to pay monthly or pay in full. If you are paying monthly you will be charged $76.00 for 3 months. If you are paying monthly we are going to be doing something a little different this year, we are going to be charging you in May for your first set of blocks, this allows us to start shipping your blocks on the first of every month instead of having to wait until the 6th of every month when our billing cycle completes. If you would like to pay in full, you will be charged at the time of purchase $209.00, this is all of the blocks and shipping. If you are paying in full, you will receive a FREE week as our “Thank You” for only having to run your credit card one time!

What do you receive each week?
Our Star Studded Event will be the star of the show once you have completed it. We decided to go easy on you this year with the blocks that you will be making each week. Each week you will receive 60 lights and 60 darks that will allow you to create 10-6 1/2” square blocks, 6” finished. While we will need to reuse some of our fabrics more than once, you have the potential of getting more than 1,200 different fabrics! Once completed Star Studded Event will measure approximately 90”x96”. There will be NO Finishing kit needed for this quilt; you will have everything you need to finish this quilt minus that Backing, as that is optional.
Some things to consider:
Our Supply Kits are helpful things that you might need along your quilting journey in our Summer Block of the Week. This year your Supply kit if you choose to purchase it will include: Aurifil 2310 and 2370, 3”x7” Itty Bitty Ruler, 13”x13” zipper bag. There isn’t much that you need for this project, but we thought everyone could use some thread, a ruler and a place to put your finished blocks. You will need the 2310 for the light blocks, and 2370 for the dark blacks. Regular price for these items is $56.69 plus shipping. We are offering it to you at a discounted price of $45.00, which includes shipping.
You are going to need 7 yards of backing fabric to complete your quilt. If you would like to purchase it from us we are extending a 30% discount on your backing fabric. Which means that instead of paying $84.00 plus shipping, you will only be charged $66.80 and that includes shipping! Just let us know in the comment section what color you would like, and we will pick out an amazing one for you!
As you can see by the picture of our EPP SBOW, it is different than anything we have ever done before. Each week you will receive a different sized background strip and along with having a different shaped paper piece to create. Like the name suggests, most of your fabric you are going to be doing Fussy Cutting. If you do not want to do that you do not have to, but the patterns that were chosen are ones will work great with Fussy Cutting.

What will you be receiving each week?
In Week 1 you will be receiving the general instructions on how to create each row along with your Background fabric for Row 1 and fabrics to make your EPPs. Weeks 2-11 you will receive your Background Fabrics and fabrics for your EPPs along with a note state which row you will be making. You will refer back to your general instructions sheet each week to know what EPP configuration you will be making. In your last week we you will receive your Border and Binding Fabric. We have made a space for you in the ordering section for you to put down which color you would like for your border fabric, and Joanne and I will pick out an amazing Border Fabric for your quilt. Joanne used a lighter brown from our Miniature Gatherings Line for her quilt. Your quilt will measure approximately 66”x73” when it is finished. There will be NO finishing kit needed for this SBOW, you will have everything you need to complete this quilt, minus the Backing as that is optional.
Some things to consider:
This year our Supply Kit is going to be put into one of our 13”x13” Zipper bags. This allows you to travel easy with your EPPs and work on them where ever you are. The Supply Kit will also include your Paper Pieces Pack for the entire quilt, a Sewline Glue pen, Fray Check and a package of #11 Straw needles. The Supply Kit should retail for $59.85, and we are putting them on Sale for $47, which includes shipping.
Used for both basting your EPPs and also for piecing them together, we have a small spool 8-piece 50 wt. Aurifil Thread Kit for you. The Aurifil Thread kit should retail for $43.35, however we are giving you a discount, which is equivalent to 2-FREE spools. For $32.50 the Aurifil Thread Kit will include: 1-large spool of 2370, small spools of 2260, 1246, 2520, 2905, 1140, and 2785.
Extras
One of the things you might want to consider, and what we think is very important is the 5-piece Window Acrylic Set for $23.00 (shipping included). This Acrylic Set will allow you to skillfully place your papers to get all those amazing Fussy Cuts accurate. We cannot stress how important this Set is!
If you are purchasing the Supply kit, you DO NOT need to purchase this pack; this is already included in the kit. If you are not purchasing the Supply Kit this is something you might want to consider purchasing, this pack will have ALL of the papers in it that you will need to complete the quilt. You will not have to reuse any of the papers, and will even have just few extra just in case.
Do you use the Sewline Glue Pen for basting all of your EPPs? If so, we have put together a Glue Refill Set, which includes 5-2 piece refill set for you. Which means that you receive a total of 10 refills for your Sewline Glue Pen for only $15.00 (includes shipping) this is like getting 4 refills for FREE!
We are offering 30% off of your backing fabric if you purchase it with us! You will receive 4 yards of Backing Fabric for only $38.60 includes shipping! Just let us know what color you would like for your backing fabric in the Comment Section and we will pick you out something amazing!
Please remember that due to the constraints of fabrics and how they are fussy cut, there will be substitutions made of fabrics. All fabrics will have the same “personality” and will be made for fussy cutting.
International and Canadian Orders
In order to keep your shipping costs down when doing the SBOW, we have to do your shipping a little different. We will ship your first block and Essentials out the first week of the program. After that we will hold your blocks for a 4-week time period, and ship on that fourth week. This allows us to have just enough money in postage for you to cover our cost to ship it to you. If you would like to receive yours weekly please call the Shop and we would be happy to help you, but please know that it costs us about $9.00 to ship you a package each week. Which means an additional $24.00 would be needed from you each month to get your SBOW out to you weekly.
Will there be a Freebie this year?
Of course there is going to be a Freebie this year! We are planning that one out while I am typing this email to you. This year if you are participating in one of our SBOWs, you will automatically be getting one of our Freebies. Please note that if you are participating in more than 1 SBOW you will only receive 1 Freebie.
If you are not participating in our SBOW this year but still would like to receive the Freebie, you will need to make a purchase of $25.00 or more, each week that the SBOW is running. If you miss one they can be purchased for $5.00 a piece.

We will be having a Facebook Group again this year. This group is absolutely amazing to keep you motivated, to learn new tricks and to see exclusive teachings from Lisa. This year we are planning a few Facebook Live posts for everyone to learn from, which will be a lot of fun! PLEASE make sure that you first are friends with ME, Jessica Holz on Facebook; from there you will need to send me a message to let me know that you are in the SBOW and would like to be added into the group. I will then add you into the Group and you are ready to start participating and asking questions if you have them. You NEED to be friends with me as it is a CLOSED/PRIVATE group, I am only able to add you if you are my friend.
Want to know when you package ships?
UPSP Informed Delivery By USPS is available for you. You just need to sign up online with the USPS if you would like to be informed as to when your packages will be arriving. Once we put it into USPS you will be informed of it journey to you and when you can expect it in your mailbox. This will be for all letters and packages that you have coming to you; this is not a service through us. This is just an option for you if you want to get notifications about your package, if you do not want this service you DO NOT have to have it.
