Just wanted to let everyone know we are in Chantilly, Virginia this weekend for the Quilters Unlimited Show!! Please stop out and see Luke and I Friday (10-6) Saturday (10-5) or Sunday (10-4)!! Thank you, Jess
On a side note….we did a little exploring in Washington, D.C. Today and just thought I would share a few picks. I am always so proud and overwhelmed with emotion when I see monuments dedicated to the men and women who have served in the military. So thank you to all of those who have!!! These pictures are from the World War II memorial.
I want to visit the World War II memorial someday. My father was a top turret gunner in the Air Force and flew 42 missions during the War, and three of his brothers also served, one of whom helped to liberate a concentration camp, and earned a Purple Heart when he was wounded. Thankfully, though all were changed forever, they all came home alive. I wish this memorial had been built before my dad died. I know he would have loved to have seen it.
Welcome to Virginia! We have a great state. Thank you for sharing some of your experiences here. Have a wonderful show this week-end.
Gives me “chills” every time; so grateful for all you served and those that continue to do so. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Jess for sending those beautiful pics. We all should be thankful for those who have served. Everyone should take the time to see those monuments…so glad you and Luke got to go.
Spot on with this write-up, I truly believe that this site needs far
more attention. I’ll probably be returning to see more, thanks for the information!
